Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc is Visiting Professor at American University of Sovereign Nations

Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc has been invited by Dr. Darryl Macer, AUSN President, to be a Visiting Professor at the American University of Sovereign Nations, which is based in Arizona, USA. He will be working in the field of Global Justice.


Dr. Maboloc has a doctoral degree in philosophy from the University of San Carlos, maxima cum laude. He holds a joint masters in Applied Ethics from Linköping University in Sweden and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He also finished a master's in philosophy at Ateneo de Manila University. He graduated AB Philosophy, cum laude, at Ateneo de Davao University.


Dr. Maboloc is the co-editor of the SES Journal of Applied Philosophy and is an associate professor at Ateneo de Davao University. He has published 42 academic papers here and abroad. He has presented his studies at Nagoya University, Chulalongkorn University, and Kumamoto University, among others. He has delivered more than 50 public lectures at various colleges and universities.

Statement of the SES expressing its opposition to the proposal to remove Ethics in the GE Curriculum

  We, members of the Board of Directors of the Social Ethics Society, express our strong opposition to the proposal to remove ethics in college. Such move is bereft of merit and is ignorant as to the value and purpose of the teaching of the course, which is thoroughly rooted in the integral and critical function of higher education.
