Dr. Rogelio Bayod, Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc, and Dr. Ian Clark Parcon, together with more than a thousand students of North Valley College, joined hands to truly celebrate the World Philosophy Day with a Forum on Governance and Sustainability.
Dr. Bayod started by giving the rationale of the activity. Dr. Parcon gave a talk on liberal and agonistic democracy. It was followed by an interactive lecture given by Dr. Maboloc on information ethics and its implications to democracy.
Faculty and students from the University of Southern Mindanao and the Southern Baptist College attended the event. Dr. Erwin Mallo and Prof. Bryan Tumlad of USM were also present in the occasion meant to highlight the important role of philosophy.
