AdDU philosophy prof tops AD Scientific Index Rankings (Philippines) in Philosophy for the third straight year

  Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc, an associate professor at Ateneo de Davao University, has been ranked first in the Subfield Philosophy for the third straight year (2023, 2024, 2025) in the Alper-Doger AD Scientific Index. The AD Scientific Index uses the database of Google Scholar to track the published papers and citations of academics around the world. The H-index is an indicator of the quality and value of a scholar's research work.  According to Judy Hunter, "ideas are the currency in academia," adding that citations are important "to track the genealogy of ideas or their sources and origin". Citations, in this regard, will enable a researcher to recognize the valuable intellectual contributions of a fellow researcher. According to Dr. Jordan Peterson, more than 80% of papers in the Humanities do not get cited. As the world moves closer into the next phase of the modern Industrial Revolution, we are witnessing many political disruptions, the threat of climatic change, and social upheavals that challenge our present ethical norms and moral perspectives.
