CRB Maboloc finishes research on peace building in BARMM

Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc has finished and submitted to the Ateneo de Davao University University Research Council his research entitled "Holistic Peacebuilding and the Mindanao Problem: Tracing the Roots of a Historical Injustice through the Politics of Difference."

Dr. Maboloc conducted his investigation in the cities of Cotabato, Zamboanga and Marbel. He interviewed and held Focused Group Discussions with stakeholders from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, academics, NGOs, and students from the region. The research was funded by Ateneo de Davao University.

Two papers have since been published based on the research, namely "An Ethical Framework for the Future of the Bangsamoro" and "Structural Injustice and Peace Building in the Bangsamoro." A paper based on the research has also been accepted for presentation in the 2024 World Congress of Philosophy in Rome, Italy.

Context and Culture: Situating Mindanao's Position in the General Education Curriculum

The Social Ethics Society, in cooperation with the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the Philosophy Department of Mindanao State University - Main, and North Valley College, invite you to a public forum, Context and Culture: Situating Mindanao's Position in the General Education Curriculum, this coming May 20, 2026, (Wednesday) from 1PM to 6PM via ZOOM.
