The University Research Council of the Ateneo de Davao University has awarded Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc a research grant on a project entitled "Radical Democracy in the Time of Duterte." The research will be undertaken from November 2017 until July 2018. Dr. Maboloc will hold a dialogue with leading philosophy professors in political ethics, social anthropology, and development theory to deepen his reflections. The panel includes Dr. Zosimo Lee of the University of the Philippines, Bro. Karl Gaspar of St. Alphonsus Theological Mission Institute, Dr. Jeffry Ocay of Silliman University, Dr. Ruby Suazo of the University of San Çarlos, Dr. Andi Villa of the Ateneo de Davao University, and Dr. Sherlito Sable of the University of Southeastern Philippines. Two Focus Group Discussions will be held. Ms. Kathleen Pastrana and Mr. Ismael Magadan Jr. will serve as Maboloc's research assistants.
