The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in Region XI has endorsed Social Ethics Society's 5th Philippine Politics and Culture Conference, which will be jointly hosted by MSU-IIT and Cor Jesu College. The theme of this year's event, to be held via Zoom on May 5-6, 2023, is "Grassroots Philosophies in the Philippines." The Keynote Speaker is Dr. Daniel Mishori of Tel Aviv University. The plenary speakers are Fr. Jose Conrado Estafia of Holy Name University, Dr. Raniel Reyes of the University of Santo Tomas, Dr. Vida Mia Valverde of Ateneo de Davao University, and PD Bruce Colao of the Department of the Interior and Local Government in Misamis. A total of 27 papers and lectures from ethics experts, Philosophy researchers, and other scholars, will be presented in the conference, according to Prof. Menelito Mansueto of the Department of Philosophy in MSU-IIT, the Conference Chair.
