Doing Philosophy in the Philippines: My take

First, a distinction must be made between Filipino philosophy and Filipinos doing philosophy. It's not the case that to be a Filipino philosopher, one must be writing Filipino philosophy. The event is an initiative of a graduating philosophy student at NDKC, who asked Dr. Maboloc to comment on his thesis. The professor obliged.  The activity was graced by the top school officials of NDKC. The speaker discussed the thoughts of Plato, Soren Kierkegaard, Kant, Edmund Husserl, Gabriel Marcel, Martin Heidegger, Jean Paul Sartre, and Fr. Roque Ferriols.
