Dr. Maboloc releases new book, Understanding Culture, Society and Politics

Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc's new book, Understanding Culture, Society and Politics (Inteligente Publishing, Manila) will be released in August this year. The book is the second material for Senior High School written by Dr. Maboloc, who is author of Introduction to the Philosophy of the Human Person, also by the same publisher. Dr. Bayod, Dr. Maboloc receive Plaque of Distinction

Dr. Rogelio Bayod of Cor Jesu College and Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc of Ateneo de Davao University received a Plaque of Distinction from Bohol Island State University for their contributions to the study of philosophy in the country and its relevance in the field of education. The award was given last June 17, 2023 during the Pedagogy for Nation-Building Forum held in Tagbilaran City. Dr. Bayod has written papers on Indigenous education while Dr. Maboloc dealt with critical pedagogy. Other awardees during the event were Dr. Ruby Suazo of USC and Dr. Noel Parinas of UPLB.

BISU, SES to hold Forum on Education

Bohol Island State University (BISU), College of Advanced Studies, in cooperation with the Social Ethics Society, will hold a Forum on the Problems, Challenges, and Prospects of Higher Education in the Post-Pandemic World this coming June 17, 2023, from 9 to 5pm. The event, which is considered as an SES off-site undertaking, will be held in Tagbilaran City. The forum intends to heighten awareness on the problems and challenges in education after the pandemic. The invited speakers include Dr. Ruby Suazo of the University of San Carlos, Dr. Rogelio Bayod of Cor Jesu College in Digos, Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc of Ateneo de Davao University, and Dr. Noel Parinas of UP Los Banos. Mr. Francis Ibanez is coordinating the activity.
