CHED endorses 5th Philippine Politics and Culture Conference

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in Region XI has endorsed Social Ethics Society's 5th Philippine Politics and Culture Conference, which will be jointly hosted by MSU-IIT and Cor Jesu College. The theme of this year's event, to be held via Zoom on May 5-6, 2023, is "Grassroots Philosophies in the Philippines."  The Keynote Speaker is Dr. Daniel Mishori of Tel Aviv University. The plenary speakers are Fr. Jose Conrado Estafia of Holy Name University, Dr. Raniel Reyes of the University of Santo Tomas, Dr. Vida Mia Valverde of Ateneo de Davao University, and PD Bruce Colao of the Department of the Interior and Local Government in Misamis.  A total of 27 papers and lectures from ethics experts, Philosophy researchers, and other scholars, will be presented in the conference, according to Prof. Menelito Mansueto of the Department of Philosophy in MSU-IIT, the Conference Chair. SES members to attend 22nd Asian Bioethics Conference in Kuala Lumpur

Fr. Dexter Veloso, Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc, and Prof. Aldrin Quintero, will attend the 22nd Asian Bioethics Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on May 15 -17, 2023. Dr. Maboloc will present his paper on post-human ethics in the round-table event. The gathering of ethics and public health experts will be jointly hosted by the Asian Bioethics Association, the International Medical University in Malaysia, and the Eubios Ethics Institute.
