Radical Democracy in the Time of Duterte: Dr. Maboloc to present his research paper in Japan

Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc of the Philosophy Department of the Ateneo de Davao University will present his research on "Radical Democracy in the Time of Duterte" at Nagoya University's Graduate School for International Development this coming September 29, 2018. The research, funded by the University Research Council of the Ateneo de Davao University, examines the progressive approach of President Rodrigo Duterte. Maboloc's research project has produced two essays, "Situating the Mindanao Agenda in the Radical Politics of President Duterte," published in  IQRA: Journal of the Al Qalam Institute  and "The Radical Politics of Nation-States: The Case of President Duterte," published in the  Journal of ASEAN Studies . SES Journal to publish special issue on the Duterte Presidency

CHED endorses the 8th SES Conference in Lake Sebu

The Commission on Higher Education has endorsed the 8th Social Ethics Society Conference in Lake Sebu this coming October 25-27, 2018. The theme for this year's event is "Indigenous Perspectives and Contemporary Challenges." The anthropologist Karl Gaspar will be the keynote speaker.
