SES in 2021 - A Celebration of Meaningful Undertakings

The Social Ethics Society ended 2021 with a meaningful gathering at Balai Torrentira in Davao City, celebrating the successful events organised by the association during the year. The year-round activities include the World Logic Day, the 2021 Webinar Series, the SES - USEP Writeshop, the 12th SES Conference, and the Philippine Democracy Virtual Forum.

The SES is proud to have invited global scholars to its undertakings, including Dr. Juichiro Tanabe, Dr. John Weckert, Dr. Layne Hartsell, Dr. Daniel Mishori, and Ms, Asuna Yoshizawa. Dr. Darryl Macer, Dr. Julio Teehankee, and Mr. Anton Heinrich Rennesland were the plenary speakers for the 12th edition of the annual conference.

The association of Philosophy teachers in Mindanao also recognised its Most Published and Most Cited members, including upcoming scholars Gerry Arambala and Migs Mansueto. The Board also approved its Revised Constitution and By-Laws and admitted seven new members to the association.

As the year ended with the devastation caused by SuperTyphoon Odette, the SES received 20,000 pesos in donations from its BOD and members that it will send to the victims of the typhoon. Dr. Roger Bayod is leading the initiative. For 2022, the SES Journal will be hosting a research and publication forum early in the year.

Fr. Dexter Veloso, the President of the SES, is proud of the accomplishments of the group. The SES will continue to strengthen its international linkages and networks. It will also work closely with other stakeholders to help its young members in the area of research and publication.

It only breeds our subser...
