The Social Ethics Society, in cooperation with Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, has successfully organized a forum on the Bangsamoro, with the theme "Peace and Justice in the Bangsamoro: Our Generation's Contribution."
The speakers were Atty. Jamil Matalam (Ateneo), Fr. Urbano Pardillo (SFXCS) and A/Prof. Christopher Ryan Maboloc (Ateneo). Atty. Matalam talked about the Moro struggle against colonization; Fr. Pardillo discussed the position of the Catholic Church in support of the peace process; and A/Prof. Maboloc explained the problem of exclusion concerning the Bangsamoro. Fr. Dexter Veloso, SES President, organizer, acted as the moderator. Peter Paul Elicor of Ateneo introduced the speakers.
The event was participated in by 140 attendees, including students from Ateneo de Davao, Holy Cross of Davao College, Davao del Norte State College, and the St. Francis Xavier College Seminary, and members of Non-Government Organizations and Parish Associations.
