Ms. Glio Joy Layos, a faculty of philosophy at the Bukidnon State University and a graduate student at Ateneo de Davao University, will present a paper entitled "Global Ethics in the Time of the Covid 19 Pandemic" in the 14th International Public Health Conference (Virtual) on February 5-7, 2021, to be hosted by the American University of Sovereign Nations based in Arizona, USA. The paper, which is co-authored by Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc, her professor at Ateneo and a visiting professor at AUSN, discusses the emergence of the coronavirus, citing novel research from Lancet, and argues for Covid-19 vaccination as a basic human right. The online conference will be attended by experts across the globe, including scholars in public health from the US, Japan, the EU, and Malaysia, among others. It will be moderated by Dr. Darryl Macer (PhD, Cambridge), president of AUSN.
