The Social Ethics Society in cooperation with La Salle University Ozamiz and Cor Jesu College will host the Politics and Culture Lectures this coming May 13, 2021 (2-6PM). The keynote speaker is Ms. Asuna Yoshizawa (Kyoto University), who will present her paper, "Art of Everyday Cohabitation between Muslims and Christians in Southern Philippines: Conversions and Intermarriages." The other speakers are Dr. Rogelio Bayod (Cor Jesu College), who will talk about "IP Issues and the Paradox of Power in Post IPRA Philippine Politics," Mr. Menelito Mansueto (Letran), who will discuss his research, "Digging through Neglected Narratives of Philippine History: Re-examining Non-Dominant Views on Philippine Democracy," and Mr. Benjiemen Labastin (La Salle - Ozamiz), who will present "Beyond minimal Democratic Politics: The Perils and Hopes of Philippine Democracy."
