CRB Maboloc to speak in International Conference on Educational Sciences

 


Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc has been invited to speak in the Plenary of the International Conference on Research in the Educational Sciences, to be held on May 29-31, 2022. The virtual event is hosted by the Mindanao State University in General Santos City and is convened by Ms. Cathy Mae Toquero, an outstanding scholar in the field of educational research. 

Dr. Maboloc will deliver a paper on the concept of critical pedagogy. He has published several articles on the topic, including "Critical Pedagogy in the New Normal," (Columbia) "Deep Thinking or Resistance: On Finding a Middle Ground between Freire's Critical Pedagogy and Dewey's Pragmatism," (Springer) and "A Strategy for School Reopening in the Philippines," (Oxford). 

Other international experts will speak as well in the conference. The second Call for Papers has been released. Interested parties who want to submit an abstract or join the conference can send an email to Edgar Romupal - secretariat.icres@gmail.com. The final Call for Papers will be on March 28, 2022. The submission of the full paper will be on April 15, 2022.

Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc just published his 90th Philosophy Paper

Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc of the Philosophy Department of Ateneo de Davao University has published his 90th philosophy paper. He co-authored an article entitled "An Ethics of Justice for the Elderly: Ageism and the Covid-19 Pandemic" with Dr. Anesito Cutillas of Cebu Technological University. The study was published in Community Health Equity Research and Policy, a Sage journal indexed by Clarivate Analytics and Scopus.  He has published papers under Springer, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Philosophy Documentation Center, and Sage.
