Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc just published his 90th Philosophy Paper

Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc of the Philosophy Department of Ateneo de Davao University has published his 90th philosophy paper. He co-authored an article entitled "An Ethics of Justice for the Elderly: Ageism and the Covid-19 Pandemic" with Dr. Anesito Cutillas of Cebu Technological University. The study was published in Community Health Equity Research and Policy, a Sage journal indexed by Clarivate Analytics and Scopus.  He has published papers under Springer, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Philosophy Documentation Center, and Sage. Dr. Maboloc's publications each year are as follows: 2023 - 8 papers; 2022 - 9 papers; 2021 - 19 papers; 2020 - 15 papers; 2019 - 6 papers; 2018 - 7 papers; 2017 - 4 papers; 2016 - 5 papers; 2015 - 4 papers; 2014 - 2 papers; 2013 - 1 paper; 2012 - 1 paper; 2010 - 3 papers; 2009 - 2 papers; 2008 - 2 papers; and 2007 - 2 papers.  Below are the papers by Dr. Maboloc. Research on Historical and Structural Injustice

Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc has visited Cotabato City and Lake Sebu to conduct his research on the roots of the historical and structural injustice in Mindanao. He was assisted by Atty. Edwin Matura of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Ministry of Human Settlements and by Dr. Aldrin Quintero of the Notre Dame of Marbel University. He also met with civil society organizations, representatives from the academe, and BARMM.  Dr. Maboloc visited the office of HWPL Philippines at Kutawato Greenland Initiatives, and had a short dialogue with young peace advocates led by Ms. Alecka Fajardo and Ms. Rica Feliciano. He also went to Notre Dame University in Cotabato City, Lake Sebu, and NDMU in Koronadal City. SES WORLD PHILOSOPHY DAY LECTURES

The Social Ethics Society, in cooperation with the Junior Philosophers Guild of Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology, and Waseda University in Tokyo, successfully held the World Philosophy Day Lectures last November 17, 2023. The online event was the second leg of the Social Ethics Society Lecture Series. The theme was Democracy across the Global Spectrum. The speakers include Dr. Juichiro Tanabe of Waseda University, Dr. Ian Clark Parcon of Ateneo, and Prof. Ruben Balotol of STI College in Ormoc. The activity was participated in by 162 attendees from different colleges and universities. It was organized by Migs Mansueto of MSU-IIT and Dr. Juichiro Tanabe, who gave the second part of his peace and conflict studies lectures.

Dr. Godiva Eviota-Rivera is Plenary Speaker in BISU Philosophy Conference

Dr. Godiva Eviota-Rivera of MSU Marawi will be a Plenary Speaker in the 1st Technological Innovation, Gender Equality, and Sustainability in Education Conference in Tagbilaran City, to be held on December 9, 2023 and hosted by the Bohol Island State University. This was revealed by Prof. Francis Jeus Ibanez, research coordinator of the College of Advanced Studies and conference organizer. Dr. Rivera will talk about peace and gender equally research, being one of the pioneers in peace education at Mindanao State University in Marawi City. The conference will be attended by graduate students and faculty members. It is the first to be held in Bohol, says Prof. IbaƱez, who is also working closely with the Social Ethics Society in helping promote ethics in the region. 

Dr. Juichiro Tanabe is Keynote Speaker in BISU Philosophy Conference

Dr. Juichiro Tanabe of Waseda University in Tokyo will be the Keynote Speaker in the 1st Technological Innovation, Gender Equality, and Sustainability Conference in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, to be hosted by Bohol Island State University on December 9, 2023. This was revealed by Prof. Francis Jeus Ibanez, the research coordinator at the College of Advanced Studies and conference organizer. Dr. Tanabe will discuss his Philosophy of Peace. Dr. Tanabe will be joined by Dr. Ruby Suazo of the University of San Carlos, Dr. Noel Parinas of UPLB, Dr. Godiva Eviota-Rivera of MSU Marawi, and Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc of Ateneo de Davao University.
