Call for Abstracts 

The world is on the edge of war, or is it? There is a need to examine the roots and biases in human war. Political theorists and scholars will provide the perspective and background, and the question that we as a society are trying to grapple with. 

The 6th Politics and Culture Conference, an online event jointly sponsored by Waseda University, MSU-IIT, North Valley College, and the Social Ethics Society brings together local and international experts on the most recent conflicts in contemporary time. 

The topics include Peace and Conflict Studies, International Relations, War on Gaza, the Ukraine War, Peace building in the Bangsamoro, Philippine Democracy and related topics in the field of political theory, social philosophy and the ethics of war.

The Plenary Speakers include Dr. Daniel Mishori (Tel Aviv University), Dr. Layne Hartsell (Chulalongkorn), Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc (Ateneo), Dr. Juichiro Tanabe (Waseda University) and Dr. Rec Eguia (USEP-CDM). 

Presenters must send a 300-word abstract on or before September 15, 2024. Please send your abstract to either of the co-chairs, Dr. Rogelio Bayod (roger.bayod@gmail.com) or Mr. Menelito Mansueto (migs_mansueto@yahoo.com). 

There is no conference fee.
