Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc, an Associate Professor at Ateneo de Davao University and the Chair of the Social Ethics Society, will travel to China next month as a Visiting Scholar at the invitation of Lanzhou University, a top-ranked school. He will have the opportunity to conduct academic work at the university's research facilities and libraries, engage with professors and students, and visit Beijing and Shanghai. The trip is fully funded by Lanzhou University as part of its academic exchange program.
Dr. Maboloc's research focuses on the moral cultivation of citizens. He will be hosted by Lanzhou University’s philosophy department, which is officially housed within the School of Philosophy and Sociology (兰州大学哲学社会学院). As part of one of China’s elite "Double First-Class" (formerly Project 985) institutions located in Gansu Province, the department carries a unique reputation for anchoring rigorous academic thought in the historically and culturally rich gateway of Northwest China.
