Prof. Göran Collste to keynote 13th SES Conference

 


Swedish philosopher Göran Collste, professor emeritus at Linköping University in Sweden, will be the Keynote Speaker in the 13th Social Ethics Society Conference. Professor Collste is the author of the book Global Rectificatory Justice (Palgrave Macmillan). He will talk about multidisciplinary research in relation to applied ethics.

The event will be held from October 27-28, 2022 at Holiday Ocean View Resort in Samal. The theme of the SES Conference is "Weaving Multidisciplinary Research." The plenary speakers are Ms. Cathy Mae Toquero (MSU-GenSan), Dr. Rec Eguia (USEP-CDM), Fr. John Guo (Society of Mary), and Dean Marcos Monderin Jr. (USM). 

Papers in philosophy, ethics, the social sciences, politics and governance, development theory and education are welcome. Abstracts should be sent to the Conference Chair, Dr. Ian Clark Parcon. Send via email to icrparcon@addu.edu.ph not later than August 30, 2022.

Christopher Ryan Maboloc: An Intellectual Biography

By Menelito Mansueto (MSU-IIT)  Christopher Ryan Maboloc is a Davao-based Filipino scholar known for his work in Social and Political Philosophy, Bioethics, Philippine Democracy, and the Philosophy of Technology. He is an Associate Professor at Ateneo de Davao University and a Visiting Professor at Silliman University. His body of work often engages with topics of social justice, structural inequality, and political ethics, particularly in the context of the Philippines.
