Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc, ASAP Fellow, Yale University Global Justice Program

Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc (Ateneo de Davao University) is one of the 14 fellows chosen in the Academics Stand Against Poverty (ASAP) Global Justice Program at Yale University under the leadership of Professor Thomas Pogge. The fellowship runs for a year. Below is a description of his research project:

"My research is about the ways and various institutional mechanisms that can help address the problem of poverty in the Bangsamoro. To be able to do this, I am working with top Muslim scholars in the region, including Dr. Mansoor Limba (Ateneo de Davao University), Datu Muss Lidasan (Al Qalam Institute), and Atty. Yussuf Abdullah. My research work looks into the realities of the shadow economy in Muslim Mindanao and how it affects the lives of people. Prof. Thomas Pogge acts as my mentor in this project."

According to its website, ASAP fellows have the opportunity to publish their work in the ASAP Journal. They also regularly attend online lectures given by top scholars from the different universities involved in the program. The global fellows will have the opportunity to be in Yale this November to attend the annual Global Justice Conference.
