The Social Ethics Society and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines through its Center for Philosophy and Humanities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Research and Publication.
This was revealed by Dr. Ian Clark Parcon, a ranking official of the organization. Senior PUP faculty will work in partnership with SES members in three areas, namely Artificial Intelligence, Indigenous Cultures, and Political Philosophy.
Dr. Ian Clark Parcon has been designated by the SES Board to lead the team. SES members tapped for the research projects include Dr. Rogelio Bayod, Mr. Menelito Mansueto, Mr. Oliver Perater, Dr. Randy Tudy, and Dr. Godiva Eviota-Rivera.
Dr. Parcon met with Prof. Agnes Sunga and the faculty of PUP in Manila recently to finalize the agreement. The group intends to write and publish papers in top Scopus-indexed journals. Incentives will also be given to the researchers.
"It is a great milestone for the SES as an organization to work with the Philosophy Department of PUP. This is what a collaborative culture is about," Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc, Chairperson Emeritus of the SES Board, said.
