Decolonial Turn in the Philippine South, a book by Menelito Mansueto, has been released. Published by KDP in the United States, the book is a collection of essays by the young scholar from Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology. Consisting of five chapters, it discusses the radical turn of philosophical thinking in Mindanao, through the lenses of Miranda Fricker, Enrique Dussell, Chantal Mouffe, and Friedrich Nietzsche. The book also contains short essays, including his take on controversial issues like historical revisionism. It chronicles the new movement in the Philippines when it comes to philosophical thinking, one that started with the radical turn in the writings of scholars from Mindanao challenging convention and the traditional authors from the country's top universities. 

Mansueto teaches Philosophy at MSU-IIT. He has also taught at the Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Manila, Far Eastern University - Diliman, the University of Santo Tomas, and at Bohol Island State University. He has a Master's in Philosophy degree from Holy Name University. He was under the tutelage of the renowned author and former Phavisminda President Dr. Eduardo Babor. Mansueto is also taking doctoral courses in the Global Justice and Sustainability Program of the American University of Sovereign Nations under Professor Darryl Macer. Mansueto is the Managing Editor of the SES Journal of Applied Philosophy. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Social Ethics Society.

Christopher Ryan Maboloc: An Intellectual Biography

By Menelito Mansueto (MSU-IIT)  Christopher Ryan Maboloc is a Davao-based Filipino scholar known for his work in Social and Political Philosophy, Bioethics, Philippine Democracy, and the Philosophy of Technology. He is an Associate Professor at Ateneo de Davao University and a Visiting Professor at Silliman University. His body of work often engages with topics of social justice, structural inequality, and political ethics, particularly in the context of the Philippines.
