Bro. Noelvic Deloria to keynote 15th SES Conference


Bro. Noelvic Deloria, President of Holy Cross of Davao College, will give the keynote address in the 15th Social Ethics Society Conference slated early next year in Davao City. Bro. Deloria, a well-loved leader in the field of education, will talk about peace building in Mindanao and the philosophy behind it, a story he revealed to Dr. Roger Bayod and Dr. Christopher Ryan Maboloc when the two paid him a courtesy visit at HCDC and the Sacred Heart house in Davao City.

The 15th SES Conference will be held on February 6 and 7, 2025 at Mergrande Resort in Davao City. It will be hosted by North Valley College. Paper presenters should write based on the theme - History, Politics and Culture: Philosophical Perspectives on Mindanao. A 300-word abstract may be sent to the Scientific Committee through this email address: roger.bayod@gmail.com. The deadline for the submission of Abstracts is December 15, 2024. Dr. Rogelio Bayod is Conference Chair.

Christopher Ryan Maboloc: An Intellectual Biography

By Menelito Mansueto (MSU-IIT)  Christopher Ryan Maboloc is a Davao-based Filipino scholar known for his work in Social and Political Philosophy, Bioethics, Philippine Democracy, and the Philosophy of Technology. He is an Associate Professor at Ateneo de Davao University and a Visiting Professor at Silliman University. His body of work often engages with topics of social justice, structural inequality, and political ethics, particularly in the context of the Philippines.
