Dr. Asuna Yoshizawa, an affiliate researcher at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies at Kyoto University in Japan, will be one of the keynote lecturers in the 15th Social Ethics Society Conference. Dr. Yoshizawa is an expert in the field of Area Studies and has done research projects in Iligan City and Bohol.
The 15th Social Ethics Society Conference will be held this coming February 6-7, 2025 at Mergrande Resort in Davao City. The event is in-person. The theme of the conference is, "History, Politics and Culture: Philosophical Perspectives on Mindanao." It will be hosted by North Valley College.
To join the annual event as a presentor, send a 300-word abstract to the Scientific Committee. Please email your abstract as an attachment to this address: roger.bayod@gmail.com. The first deadline for the abstract submission is December 15, 2024.
Papers based on the following are welcome: Peace and Conflict Studies, Democracy and Poverty, Indigenous Cultures, Education and Human Development, Environmental Ethics and Ecology, Women and Inclusion, Public Health, and the Bangsamoro.
The conference fee is 6,000 pesos, inclusive of room accommodation (shared), meals, kit, two books, and access to all sessions. Dr. Rogelio Bayod is the Conference Chair. Participants can pay on site or via bank transfer. Details are sent upon request.
